COMPLETE PRINTABLE INFORMATION MEET FACILITY Carroll University’s Dennis Punches Track and Field Complex. The track and runways, including Javelin, are Beynon 1000 10ml. Spikes up to but not exceeding 1/4” will be allowed. All team buses, coaches, athletes and spectators must use the Otteson and Overflow Lot. These parking lots are located on Barstow St. just to the northeast of the complex. All parking to the immediate north of the complex will be reserved for meet workers and officials. Please assist us with this matter. ENTRY AND GENERAL INFORMATION PROOF OF AGE REQUIREMENT: ALL Junior Olympic competitors must have proof of age “verified”. If your Membership Profile in USATF Connect shows that your date of birth verification status is current, no action is required. If not current, upload proof of age documentation to your Profile. Allow a minimum of 5 business days to process verification. RESULTS: Computerized results will be generated at the site. Check our web site, www.wisconsin.usatf.org, for results. Also at PTTiming.com and wisconsinrunner.com. USATF MEMBERSHIP: This is the Wisconsin Association USATF Championship. Membership in USATF is required. 2022 membership fees are $25.00 for competitors 18 and under and $40.00 for competitors 19 and over. PAPER ENTRY DEADLINE for MASTERS: Paper entry forms must be postmarked by JUNE 7, 2022 After this deadline no entries will be accepted. Entry fees are non-refundable and no changing of events will be permitted. Masters athletes must add an $8.00 administration fee for using a paper entry form. MAIL-IN PAPER ENTRY FORMS ARE ALLOWED ONLY FOR MASTERS, PARA, AND SENIOR OLYMPIC ATHLETES. COACHES/ADULTS are NOT allowed to coach youth athletes unless: a) you are the parent of that child, or b) you are a coach for the athlete’s club and have completed required background screening and SafeSport training by June 1, 2022. AWARDS: Medals will be awarded to the top six finishers in each age and gender division in each event including all relay team members. Medals will be available for pick up as soon as event results are posted. Please allow adequate time to pick up your medal(s) at the meet or have a coach, friend, or family member pick up medals for you. We will not mail medals that are not picked up at the meet. FIELD EVENTS: Implements will be weighed at the concession stand. All implements will be inspected upon arrival and those declared legal will enter a common pool for all to use. All pole vault competitors must supply their own pole vault pole and be weighed in. In horizontal jumps and throws, the four (4) attempt rule will be used. Decathlon and Heptathlon - Both Days (16U / 18U / O / M) Thursday: Decathlon, Heptathlon and then Pentathlon - (12U / 14U) Friday: Decathlon, Heptathlon, Pentathlon (Masters) Triathlon (9:15 a.m. start) - (9-10) Friday: Hammer - 10:30am - (15-16 / 17-18 / O / M) JUNIOR OLYMPIC CHAMPIONSHIP ELIGIBILITY: The Wisconsin Junior Olympic Championship is open only to Wisconsin residents. The Championship is divided into six (6) divisions for boys and six (6) for girls. The athlete’s year of birth shall determine the division in which the athlete shall compete. Competitors must compete in their own division only. No athlete may compete in younger or older divisions as an individual or a member of a relay team. *Athletes who are still eighteen (18) years of age through July 31, 2022, shall be eligible to compete in the 17-18 Division. ENTRY FEE: Entry fees are $8.00 per event and a total of $32.00 for each relay team. Nonrefundable. Protest fee $25.00. ENTRY LIMITATIONS: 8 & Under, 9-10 and 11-12 divisions may enter a maximum of three (3) events. All other divisions may enter a maximum of four (4) events. These limitations include relay and racewalk participation but not combined event participation. RELAYS: All Junior Olympic relay teams must be from clubs which hold current valid club membership in Wisconsin USATF one week prior to the championship. Teams should read USATF Rule 302.3. The uniform rule will be enforced. All Relay Teams must hand in a copy of their athletic.net roster declaration sheet. Listing of athlete’s name on relay team roster does not count as an event unless they compete in the relay. Deadline for all relay team roster declaration forms is 10:00 A.M. on the day of meet. MEET SCHEDULE: Packet pickup starts at 7:00 A.M.; racewalk at 8:00 A.M.; meet starts at 9:00 A.M. DECLARATION FOR 200M: Athletes must confirm their intent to run in the 200 meter dash by checking in at the declaration table at the start of the 1500 meters. POLE VAULT: Boys and Girls and all age groups will be combined. Competitors will be divided into two flights. Competition in the first flight will begin at 9:00 A.M. and will have a starting height of approximately 6 1/2 - 7 feet. The second flight will begin immediately after completion of the first flight and after an appropriate warm up period. The starting height for the second flight will be 10 feet. Athletes will be weighed in. USATF JUNIOR OLYMPIC FORMAT: The top eight (8) individuals and the top eight (8) relay team finishers in each competitive division of the Junior Olympic Championship qualify for the Region 8 Junior Olympic Track and Field Meet in Minnesota.
