100-mile national championship

The Jackpot Running Festival, held in Henderson, NV, hosted the 100-mile Road National Championships, March 3-4, 2023.

The Jackpot Running Festival, held in Henderson, NV, hosted the 100-mile Road National Championships, March 3-4, 2023.
 
Our 2023, USATF National Champions are, Sierra De Groff, 32, of Las Vegas, in 15:59:56 and Jonah Backstrom in 14:10:03. The winners each was awarded $1,200 in prize money.
 
Backstrom, 49, from San Francisco, was also first in the Masters division and took home his second title of the day.
 
Lisa Cabiles, 40, of Richland, WA was second overall female in 16:42:54, earning her the female Masters title.
 
Zach Merrin, 37, of North Canton, OH, finished in 14:48:59 and Pete Kostelnick, 35, of Phoenix, completed their 86 laps of the 1.17078 mile (1.8842 km), USATF Certified loop in 15:47:24 to fill up the podium.
 
Also reaching the podium for females was 3rd place finisher Heather Huggins, 49, of Monrovia, CA, in 17:09:29.
 
Of note, former Wisconsin resident, now residing in Ogden, UT, Alex Docta, 37, placed fourth male overall in 15:57:35.
 
Organized by Aravaipa Running, the championships will again be held at Cornerstone Park, Henderson, NV, within a few miles of Las Vegas, next year.
 
The festival includes 6-hour, 12-hour, 24-hour, 48-hour, 50-mile and 100-mile non-championship events over 3 days.
 
The race was timed and scored by MCM Timing and Results, LLC.
