Michelle Rohl, a native of Madison, Wisconsin, is a distinguished American racewalker. She proudly represented the United States in three consecutive Summer Olympic Games (1992, 1996, and 2000). A dominant force in her sport, Michelle is a five-time USA Indoor Champion (1995, 1996, 1998, 2000, and 2001) and a four-time U.S. Outdoor 20 km Champion (1999–2001, 2003). Her achievements include a silver and bronze medal at the Pan American Games in 1995 and 1999, respectively.
In 2024, Michelle achieved unprecedented success, setting three world records and nine American records across both racewalking and running events. She secured four World Championship titles in a series of races that had never been attempted—let alone won—by any athlete. Undefeated in her age group, Michelle claimed three additional national titles and posted the six highest age-graded performances of any master's athlete. Notably, she also placed third at the Olympic Trials.
Congratulations to Michelle on her extraordinary achievements and enduring excellence!
